Where We Came From: The Mattingly Family
Iven Mattingly (born July 1, 1918) worked as a truck driver. But on February 28, 1955, while he was driving his truck across northern Montana, he had a bad accident and he was killed instantly. This book traces his ancestors back to Thomas Mattingly, who was born in England. It follows the family, as they immigrated to America in 1664, and then moved across the country. They first lived in St. Mary's County, Maryland.
The book documents eight generations of this family, down to Iven, and it and also provides genealogical information on Iven's wife, Gwendolene Marshall, and her ancestors.
